These innovative stores are nearly twice the size of the Company’s average store, with 12,000 sq feet dedicated to the latest brands and unique products, spanning fashion, home accents, gourmet food, kids’ toys & games and so much more. The Paper Store’s new ‘Signature Stores’ embody a bold new vision for the brand. The Company launches its first “Signature Store.” With a large 12,000 sq/ft footprint, the store combines in-store experiences with a new way to shop. The Paper Store expands outside of the Northeast for the first time in the company's history. The company continues to brand itself to consumers as "The Paper Store." The Paper Store, LLC is sold and now operates as TPS Group Holdings, LLC. The Paper Store continues its New York expansion and adds 6 stores on Long Island.Ī new chapter begins. The 80th store opens, and this time outside of New England-in Amherst, NY-broadening The Paper Store's horizons. The company's 50th anniversary is celebrated company-wide with a large Friends & Family celebration. The decade brings tremendous growth with an addition of 9 stores in Massachusetts, establishing The Paper Store as the local retailer for gifts. The Paper Store begins with founder Bob Anderson at their first location as a small yet bustling newspaper & magazine shop in historic downtown Maynard, MA. The Anderson family proudly remains in the business driving the strategy, sales and daily execution of the business. The company operates now as TPS Group Holdings, LLC utilizing The Paper Store brand name consumers have grown to recognize. In 2020 The Paper Store (formerly known as The Paper Store, LLC) was sold and a new business entity was formed.
